The problem of static in printing, packaging and bindery operations
Static builds up on the INTERIOR surfaces of the paper sheets in the machine feeder. This causes the sheets to be electrically attracted to each other and resist sheet separation by the feeder. The thinner the paper the worse this problem occurs. This causes either feeder jams or slower machine speeds. In order to eliminate this static, you must blow static elimination between the sheets.
Installing Ionix Static Eliminator in your feeder air line makes your feedr air eliminate those interior surface charges during sheet separation by directing Ionix static eliminating air in between he shees in the pile. How to size and install Ionix in your feeder
For best results, ALL the air in the feeder needs to go through an Ionix Static Eliminator.
Sizing the Ionix for your feeder requires you to 1. identify the main blower hose and measure the inside diameter of that hose and 2. determine the maximum sheet size of your machine.
Once you determine those 2 specifications you can use the sizing chart below.
Some feeders have 2 feeder pumps or more than one blow/pressure outlet on the pump. You must install an Ionix on ALL the blow/pressure lines going to the pump.
To install Ionix you will cut those hoses and push the hose ends over the tapered barbs of the Ionix. If it is difficult to reach that line, buy a same diamtr hose from you local home impovement store and extend to hose to the outside of the machine where it is convenient to install Ionix and run the hose back into the machine.
