Compressed air is an electrical insulator. When you blow it across a circuit board or component during cleanup, the friction of that airflow creates an electrostatic charge - one that can damage sensitive components even with your other ESD precautions in place. Installs directly in the blow off line and makes the passing air electrically conductive, so it no longer generates static and actively dissipates any charge already other surface.

How it installs
Cut the blow-off air hose, push the ends over the Ionix unit - that's the whole installation. It runs on the force of the compressed air alone: no electrical connection, and no nuclear materials.
