Air is usually an electrical insulator. When you blow off compressed air over a surface, the friction of force of the air on that surface creates an electrostatic charge which can potentially damage your sensitive components in spite of all your ESD precautions.
By installing an Ionix Static Eliminator in each blow off line, Ionix makes the passing air electically conductive so the passing blow off air does not generate a static charge on the surface being blown off.It will also dissipate any static present on the surface.
How to install Ionix Static Eliminator
Installation is simple. Just cut the blow off air hose, push the hose ends over the end of Ionix and installation is complete. Ionix works using the force of the compressed air going through it to disspate static. Ionix does not require an electrical connection an contains no nuclear materials.
Which Ionix Static Eliminator model should I order for my PCB ESD blowoff line?
The model you need depends on the pressure you blow off the surface.
